Dulquar and Nazriya would share the screen in new malayalam film Salalah Mobiles. Dulquar and Nazriya are on screen for the first time in Sharath A. Haridasan directing malayalam movie Salalah Mobiles. Jacob Gregory, who starred with Dulquar in A B C D is also handling an important role in this film. It’s comedy entertainer with a simple script. In `Salala Mobiles’ Dulquer plays the role of a local person, who starts his business with the money sent by his uncle employed in Salalah. He falls in love with Shahana, a girl from a rich family. Geetha plays the role of mother of Dulquer. Siddique, Tini Tom and Mamu Koya are appearing in supporting roles. Anto Joseph is producing the film under the banner of Ann Mega Media. Gopisundar will score the music by giving importance to Sufi music.

Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi - Review

NPCB tells the story of Khasi going on for a roadtrip from Kerala to Nagaland en-route to find his girlfriend Assi . Kassi and Assi , love is already in the air . The protagonist is well assisted by his partner in crime Suni played by Sunny Wayne where the former is played by none other than the trendsetter Dulquer Salmaan .
From the moment the engine starts roaring , its a non stop visual treat for the eyes for 170 odd minutes.
The story unfolds as the journey goes on and as more people coming in . The director has well portrayed everything by mixing the present and past in a subtle non linear way .
If you think the movie is just a cliched love story , no , it has much more to offer .
You will see the rich heritage of India as they travel , you will see politics and ofcourse you will feel the love .
The moment the movie is over , trust me , the one thing that you would love to do is to go on for a road trip with your buddies in a Bullet .
This road movie is first of its kind in our industry and let it be a kick start for many more to come .

Dulquer is the main positive of this movie , followed by cinematography .
Dulquer is improving film by film and nice to see his selections are top notch . Accept it DQ has become a brand now ,his impeccable fanbase keeps me off from thinking otherwise.His voice modulation has just become amazing and no wonder , afterall he is the son of the king of voice modulation and dialogue delivery.
Sunny Wayne was equally impressive so was the Bengali actor . The actress has done a fair job , she was too beautiful in some frames .

Like Sameer Thahir's previous venture the treatment is so fresh but the lag he cant avoid add to the only negative i found about this movie .

Verdict : 4/5 for this visual treat from Sameer Thahir.

Bottomline : Its not everyone's cup of tea.

Biriyani is an upcoming Indian Tamil black comedy-thriller film written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. Produced by Studio Green, it will feature Karthi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles alongside Premji Amaren, Ramki, Nithin Sathya, Madhumitha and Mandy Takhar. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the score and soundtrack of Biriyani, which marks his 100th film, while Sakthi Saravanan and Praveen-Srikanth handled cinematography and editing, respectively. Filming started in November 2012, lasted for over nine months and took place primarily at Chennai, Hyderabad and Ambur. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on September 6, 2013.

Memories : Review

Synopis - Sam (Prithviraj), who leads the life of a drunkard, is given charge of a murder investigation.

Script & Direction - Jeethu simply shocked me!!! I always rated him as an average director who loves to play safe with box office. But 'Memories' was a big slap to that thought. Rather a thrashing. Right from the very first frame, we can feel that Jeethu has chosen a different lane where we can see him being innovative as well as brilliant. One of the very few scripts which develops as the narration progresses from scene to scene. The highlight of the movie was how he depicted Sam onscreen. He perfectly balanced his personal life with his professional life. His family life,past and issues with his current family after earning the tag of a drunkard were emotionally shot with some brilliant moments like the "emotional outbreak" scene with his mother. There wasn't a single moment for unnecessary melodrama.

Once the investigation commences, Jeethu clearly knows how to lead and place his characters. The investigation scenes thus were conducted meticulously. Another sign of his brilliance was the night chase scene. This shows how well Jeethu has wrote his lead character. Finally he ended the film on a high note which happens rarely in current films. The idea was novel eventhough we can see slight traces of 1980s Malayalam Thriller. But the similarity ends there. The frames were simply outstanding.

On a negative note, there are very few flaws here n there but it will never dampen the experience. I am unable to detail it since it may become spoilers.

Cast & Performance - Prithviraj is currenty driving a Ferrai at a high pace on tthe road to brilliance. His selection has been simply outstanding with the last 3 films and Sam is going to join thatlist as one of the best. This was a performance which reinvented or polished the actor yet again which was close to flawless. I find it a bit difficult to reveal the rest of the cast due to the genre. But to name a few, Vijayaraghavan,Suresh Krishna,Rahul,Vanitha etc etc delivered fine performances while the cast of newcomers were bad.

Song & Background Score - "Thirayum Theeravum.." is a fine melody sung by Vijay Yesudas which shot the flashback scenes of Sam & his family. "Memories..." is an English song played during the opening credits. The background score was outstanding.

Technical Expertise - Sujith Vaassudev's brilliant frames gave the movie the right mood according to each scene. Whether the slick frames or the natural frames, the shots were apt. John Kutty's editing was fine n even. Saburam's art direction can be seen with the wood work. The make up department gave the apt look for each characters especially Prithviraj.

Bottomline - OUTSTANDING SUSPENSE THRILLER/DRAMA....HATS OFF TO JEETHU JOSEPH & PRITHVIRAJ

The Wolverine : REVIEW

What’s Good: An energetic and persuasive narrative that keeps the Wolverine frenzy alive and bubbling!

What’s Bad: Perhaps with a base little too existential, the film might turn out to be a washout for people who will go looking for graze-to-the-ground destruction ala other superhero releases this Summer.

Watch or Not?: James Mangold’s The Wolverine is surprising, engaging and fascinating to the hilt. With delectable dosage of energetic and thrilling action, this edition of Wolverine is way beyond mere superhero mediocrity. Whether you are a Wolverine fan or not, don’t miss Hugh Jackman’s top notch performance in a film whose soul is well-spirited.

Mangold’s ‘The Wolverine’ lives up to its hype as it emerges as an enormously compelling film which transposes the Marvel series with sheer cinematic delight. Hugh Jackman in his hulking presence is crackling and remits a riveting performance. As a fan of this series and Jackman, I cannot settle for anything less than 4/5 for this indulgent film. Go catch this one, and I assure you it’ll be rewarding!

Finally - a superhero movie that doesn't feel like every other superhero movie.

Mariyan : Review

The plot deals with the emotional journey of the hostage, who will be kept in an unknown place. He will be kidnapped by Sudan Mercenaries. The plot is adapted from the real life incident, in 2008, few oil workers were kidnapped from India and kept as hostage.

Dhanush's Performance
Dhanush has given extraordinary performance especially in the second half, where he has to go through physical struggle.

Parvathi Menon's Performance 
Parvathi Menon plays a love interest role of Dhanush, who will force him to join as a construction worker in Sudan. She has got a typical native look with her costumes and has maintained a good chemistry with Dhanush.

Marc Koninckx Camera Work
Marc Koninckx, work should be appreciated, his camera work in the under-water scene is mind-blowing. The location reminds us of Mani Ratnam's Kadal. Mariyan is the third movie in recent days to have the story in coastal region.

Bharath Bala's Direction 
The slow pace of the movie helps the audience to feel the emotions for more time. It seems like director Bharath Bala has purposefully leisured the pace.

AR Rahman 
The tracks 'Enga ponna raasa' and 'Kadal raasa naan' have been is used as a background score in the whole movie. AR Rahman's score will make the audience to keep humming even after they are out of theater.

Verdit 
No doubt Mariyan will lend the National award for Dhanush. His sufferings on-screen, bursting and agony during emotional scenes have come out well. The movie is a must watch for Dhanush's fans.
